“The best therapist hands down. I have gone to therapy for years but this is the first time I feel like I have truly gotten over huge humps in my life. Kellye helps me approach situations through a new lens and pats me on the back through all the good and bad times. She is great at scheduling and can always squeeze me in for extra appointments if needed. I can’t recommend her enough and hope that she gets to share her skills with everyone :) ”

Getting to know Kellye Stefanski-Wett

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” — Carl Jung At the heart of my work with children age 8+, adolescents and adults is the belief that every person is inherently worthy, capable of growth, and possesses the strength to create meaningful change. I believe we all have the capacity to heal, and that therapy can help us reconnect with the strengths that have been there all along. My role isn't to "fix" people but to help them reconnect with their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and trust who they already are. I work with adolescents (13+) and adults, helping clients explore how early relationships, family dynamics, childhood experiences, and unconscious patterns continue to influence their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we'll approach painful experiences, shame, and protective patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. A central belief in my work is the difference between fitting in and belonging. Many of us learned to hide parts of ourselves to gain acceptance. While those strategies may have once helped us, they can leave us feeling disconnected from who we truly are. Therapy offers an opportunity to reconnect with your authentic self, build self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-trust, and create a stronger sense of belonging within yourself. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, integrating Adlerian, psychodynamic, attachment, and trauma-informed perspectives. Depending on your needs, I incorporate CBT, ACT, mindfulness, strengths-based interventions, solution-focused techniques, and IFS-informed concepts. I earned my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. My background in both education and psychology fuels my passion for helping people cultivate greater self-understanding, resilience, and authentic connection.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help clients rediscover who they are beneath the expectations, fears, & protective patterns they've developed over time. Healing isn't about becoming someone new, it's about remembering who you've always been. As clients develop greater self-awareness, self-trust, and self-compassion, they begin to cultivate a genuine sense of belonging within. Above all, I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to be fully themselves. I believe that lasting change happens when people feel deeply seen, understood, challenged with compassion, and empowered to trust themselves again.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every client and every therapeutic journey is unique, so I tailor the process to your individual needs and goals. During our first few sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, identifying your strengths, and developing goals that feel meaningful to you. As therapy progresses, we'll work together to better understand the thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences that have shaped you. We'll identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, strengthen your coping skills, and build greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience. I also encourage clients to reflect on what they discover between sessions and practice new ways of responding to themselves and others. Throughout the process, I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment where you feel safe to be yourself, challenged with compassion, and empowered to make lasting, meaningful change.

Kellye has been a pleasure to work with. She’s attentive without being overbearing, warm without coddling, and gives me actionable advice rather than just platitudes when I feel like I’m struggling with managing my emotions. She is an excellent practitioner that I’ve now followed between practices and will do that as many times as is needed because I like her that much!
Kellye has helped me tremendously with navigating the changes in my relationships and personal life as well as changes in my career over the past year. She understands my needs, let's me just talk through issues, and gives me the space I need to get things out in the open. She has given me tools that I use in my everyday life and provides unbiased view points when I am struggling to see from a different perspective. She is down to earth and lets me be my authentic self. As my views on life changes, she has not only supported me but changed the way we conduct our sessions to better fit my changing values and beliefs. Knowing I have Kellye in my corner to help me continue to navigate the changes in my life, makes the change a little bit easier.
Dr. Kellye is the best therapist ive worked with, she is very professional and can accommodate my time schedule. I have to follow her to her new office. Working with Dr. Kellye is the best decision I have made. Ola
