Kelsey Bettis Trujillo, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Kelsey! My name is Kelsey Bettis Trujillo, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver. As a Clinical Social Worker, the philosophy I choose to operate from is one of hope, optimism, and positivity. Throughout my entire practice, I believe it is my duty to help others by reframing negative thoughts into more positive ones, supporting them in achieving more productive and positive behaviors, and continually maintaining hope that they can get better and thrive in their lives. My approach I am a person-centered therapist who utilizes a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, 12-Step, and DBT. I mostly focus on skills building in my practice and emphasize solutions to problems my clients face in the present moment, alongside processing. My focus The majority of my background is working with individuals who struggle with addiction and mental health. I have been working in the co-occurring field for six years and have supported clients dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenic-type disorders, and bipolar disorder. I have also worked with those navigating life transitions and preparing to manage day-to-day stressors at work, in relationships, and in general life. My communication style I am an empathetic listener who holds space for you to express what you need in the moment or to process what you are feeling. I also take a direct approach at times, but always in a way that is best heard by you. I firmly believe no one is above feedback, including myself, so I empower my clients to be just as open in communicating with me as I am with them.
