Getting to know Kendal Moses

Hello, I'm Kendal. Do you ever find yourself struggling with your thoughts to the point where it makes life more difficult? Are you having a hard time allowing yourself to feel good about who you are? Has it become harder to maintain your relationships? I work with people from diverse backgrounds to tackle these challenges. Together, we’ll explore what’s helping you and what isn’t, so you can create simple changes that bring you back to feeling more like yourself and create a sense of balance in your life and mind. I approach you as a unique individual with your own needs, integrating CBT, DBT, and MI into my work, along with metaphors to make complex concepts more relatable. I specialize in working with depression and its negative thoughts, anxiety and racing worries, and LGBTQIA+ issues, just to name a few. I want to support you in an environment that feels safe and promotes lasting growth. I firmly believe every person deserves therapy grounded in cultural humility, and I bring that mindset, along with empathy and evidence-based practices, into our time together to help you navigate the struggles you bring. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate, effective care. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, I'm really trying to get to know you. Not just from a therapeutic perspective, but who you are as a person, as this is all connected. As we continue to move forward, we'll be working towards specific and attainable goals. Once we've worked together for a while, I will be taking more opportunities to challenge you to get out of habits/thoughts that are no longer helpful, even as I see them in our sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
