“From the first appointment, Ms Hardy made me feel heard. She listened and never dismissed my feeling, which are always all over the place. She's herds me through my traumas and anxieties with expertise and empathy. That sounds cheesy. I'm very happy I found her.”

Getting to know Kenisha Hardy

My name is Kenisha Hardy, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Georgia. I've worked in many different settings with individuals and families facing a variety of personal challenges such as depression and anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma and abuse, homelessness, relationships and parenting, and more. I have the experience and privilege of serving specialized populations including those in the HIV, LGBTQ, Military, and Veteran communities. My approach I believe it's very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences. I believe in treatment that reflects integrity and respect. If you think counseling or therapy might be something you want to explore for your personal growth, it would be my privilege to support you along the way. My focus I am here to meet you where you are, at your pace, in your space. My specialties include but are not limited to: Adolescents/Teens, Aging, Anxiety, Borderline Personality, Chronic Pain, Chronic Illness, Depression, Child Abuse or Neglect, Divorce, Antisocial Personality, Coping Skills, Emotional Disturbance, Infidelity, Grief, Domestic Violence, Cultural Stress, Family Conflict, Job Stress, Panic Attacks, Military, LGBTQIA+, Older Adults, Life Transitions, School Issues, Racial Identity, Sexual Abuse, Relationship Issues, Gender Identity, Self-Esteem, Schizophrenia, Trauma and PTSD, Suicidal Ideation, Women's Issues, Domestic Abuse, and Transgender Issues. My communication style My style of communication is typically reflective listening, as well as person-centered and compassion-based. Sometimes you may want to engage in dialogue with feedback and thought-provoking questions. Other times, you may have something front and center that you just need a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings-a soundboard that is both objective and nonjudgmental.
