Getting to know Kerriann Kelleher

Kerri Kelleher, MSW, LICSW, is the newest addition to the team at IPS, bringing a compassionate and constructive approach to every session. Her experience in acute hospital settings makes her a great fit for individuals and families navigating stressors such as complex and chronic illness or grief and loss. In addition, she understands firsthand the challenges of clients who work within the medical field and the importance of building strong coping skills and work-life balance. Through her work as a clinical social worker in several Boston hospitals, Kerri regularly supports people affected by complex state systems and social issues, including child protection, elder services, social security, criminal justice and incarceration, and veteran affairs. She works with all ages and brings a kind and direct approach to this boutique-style practice. Kerri received her Master's in Social Work from Boston College, where she focused on clinical social work within health settings. She has worked at Boston Children's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Spaulding Hospital Cambridge. Prior to becoming a social worker, Kerri worked for several years in journalism and public sector communication. Outside of IPS, you can find Kerri keeping up with local news, spending time with her cat Smokey, or watching bad reality TV. A born and raised Cape Codder, Kerri spends most summer weekends at the beach getting sunburned on her paddleboard. Kerri is a strong advocate for person-centered mental health support and brings an immense amount of empathy to each of her sessions.
