I have a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. With 8 years of mental health experience, I have been in clinical practice for over 4 years. None of us come out of childhood without some cuts and bruises, often emotional. I integrate different approaches tailored to each individual or couple utilizing emotion-focused therapy (EFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Together, we will learn to accept and experience emotions in a safe way, instead of fighting to ignore or move past them. Our work will include processing, identifying, and exploring emotions, and learning ways to respond to our thoughts and feelings in line with our values, leading to a richer and more meaningful life."
