Getting to know Kevin Niehaus

Hello! My name is Kevin Niehaus, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a PsyD from California Southern University. Being trained in both business and mental health, I approach therapy with my clients to help them find solutions to their stressors and problems. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives, and I have the honor of joining them on their growth and change journey. I do not believe in judgment or shame, and I strive to offer my clients compassion and patience as they face change. I also do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to clients. Each client is unique and deserves a customized treatment plan. That being said, I have an extensive toolkit of skills and training that can help my clients, and I work to find the best treatment options for them. I always invite you to set up a session to discuss what is bothering you and how we can approach it together. I have experience working with children (3 years old and up), adolescents, and adults. I also have training in behavioral and substance addiction (both 12-step and non-12-step/harm reduction models), anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, identity impacts, trauma, adjusting to life's milestones, and how adjusting to change can impact one's life.
