Hi there, I'm Kevin! Hi, I'm Kevin Orpurt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with clients in Massachusetts via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Tulane University School of Medicine. I have broad experience but primarily work with adolescents and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, transition issues, and grief, using a solution-focused approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I also have extensive experience with athletes and those in athletic settings. My approach While I have a casual, nonjudgmental approach to therapy, I believe people often need additional tools. I strive to balance compassionate listening with a solution-focused approach. Our focus will be on your present, but we will safely explore the past when it impacts the present. Combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic Theory allows you to gain insight and make positive changes. My focus I enjoy working with people of all ages and am fascinated by the variety of people, culture, and experience. I prefer a broad caseload from adolescents to older adults, with particular interest in anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. My communication style I want therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable sharing who you are and your experience. My approach is casual, and while we may cover difficult experiences, I also believe in laughter and celebrating what is good in life. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been fascinated by people and their stories. I have seen loved ones trapped by anxiety and depression, unable to enjoy life as before. It is a privilege to share in people's experiences and help them find hope and tools to move forward.
