“My appointment was great! I was feeling nervous when the session first began, but felt reassured and safe as soon as we got to talking. I felt heard and understood, and didn’t feel rushed at all. If I felt I was explaining or expanding too much, or getting a sucked into what I was speaking about, my feelings and responses were validated. All throughout the session, I felt affirmed and appreciated.”

Getting to know Keziah Striplin

I am passionate about empowering people to take control of their life's narrative and recognize their innate ability to thrive and prosper. With the right support, acceptance, and a comprehensive set of tools, the potential for healing and managing mental health challenges can be fully unlocked. As a therapist, I am committed to being in your corner, supporting you every step of the way. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths and facilitate meaningful growth in your life. Together, we will work to uncover your unique strengths and navigate your path to wellness. My Background My journey to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own personal struggles, which introduced me to the transformative power of mental health support. These experiences ignited my passion for helping others, and over the past decade, I have served as a recovery mentor, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those within the LGBTQ+ community. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University, which has equipped me with the professional expertise to assist clients facing a range of mental health issues, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression. I bring empathy, real-life experience, and clinical knowledge to every session. What to Expect When We Work Together When we work together, you can expect a collaborative approach tailored to your unique needs. We will develop a personalized treatment plan grounded in your goals, and I will draw upon my knowledge and skills to support you in achieving them. You are the expert on your own life, and your input will be central to our therapeutic journey. My approach is flexible and does not rely on a “one size fits all” method. Instead, it focuses on your strengths and challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, stages of change, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. This eclectic, person-centered approach is anti-oppressive and strengths based. If you are seeking a therapist who understands the complexities of life transitions, body image struggles, and the importance of finding joy in life’s small moments, I invite you to schedule an intake appointment with me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide online therapy to individuals physically located in Oregon. Clients meet with me for a 60-minute intake session. If we are a great fit, we meet for ongoing therapy sessions. Therapy sessions are typically scheduled weekly for 60 minutes. However, frequency of therapy may change depending on your unique needs.
