Getting to know Kim Becker

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most challenging moments. My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique journey. I hope to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you will feel safe to explore what’s holding you back and supported as you work toward healing and growth. I blend practical, evidence-informed strategies—like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care—with a relational and strengths-based focus, always honoring your values and your voice in the process. Whether we’re processing trauma, managing anxiety, or navigating life transitions, our work together is guided by insight, intention, and steady progress toward a more connected version of your true self. I’ve established a culturally responsive and ethically grounded practice, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for clients from all backgrounds. Therapy with me is not just about reducing symptoms—it’s about finding clarity, building courage, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first session, you can expect to walk away with a sense of direction and renewed hope. Each session, I will ask if you are still committed to the process and will help you identify and challenge your skepticism. I will always provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you; in return, I expect honesty and transparency from you. I will encourage you try new things and to work them into your day-to-day life in an attempt to develop healthy and beneficial habits.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
