Getting to know Kim Glickman

Seeking therapy is courageous. It is often the first step towards creating the life that you want. Therapy can be transformative and offers the potential for enormous growth and positive change. My approach is to offer my patients a safe place in which to explore their hopes and fears and the obstacles that get in the way of having a full and rich life. I hold a Master's in Social Work from New York University, a PhD in Social Work from Columbia University, and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University, which inform my comprehensive and compassionate approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, which means that I view the therapeutic relationship as central to the change process and that I help patients understand how conflicts from the past affect the way they feel in the present. By working through these issues, patients can experience themselves in a whole new way, freeing themselves up to have a more satisfying and meaningful life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session will be a telehealth consultation. Following this, patients will have the option of in-person or telehealth sessions.
