Kim Hanley, LCSW

Kim Hanley, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
Since starting my practice, my first priority has been meeting each person where they are. Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming for some, so I help each individual figure out where to start and offer flexibility to address topics as they arise. My approach is to build on one’s own strengths to help develop solutions. Therapy is a place to receive validation for struggles while creating techniques to move toward goals. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, and I look forward to working with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When I work with a person I like to help them set achievable goals. Whether that means taking a long term goal and breaking it down into smaller tasks, or focusing on why the goal is important to them; my role is to help them through that process. A session is really about allowing the person to be heard and supported while guiding them through a process.
