Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Kim! Do you feel lost? Do you know who you are? Is it difficult to trust others? Are you attracting the same toxic people in your life? If this sounds like you, let's take a journey through meaningful conversation to create a tailored plan for becoming the best version of yourself. My name is Kim Strong, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in Social Work and Mental Health. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Kent State University. I am drawn to marginalized populations and specialize in areas such as low self-esteem, self-worth, self-identity, self-acceptance, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal relationships. I am a "get to the root cause" therapist because this is where true, sustained healing happens. My approach I typically utilize attachment theory because this treatment modality provides a comprehensive view of the relationship between ourselves and others. Together, we will identify negative core wounds, unmet needs, boundaries, and unhealthy behavioral patterns. We will also explore how emotions affect thoughts and behaviors through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My approach is client-centered, so I incorporate various other theoretical approaches to best support each client's unique needs. My focus I work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, codependency, emotion regulation, self-worth, self-esteem, self-identity, assertiveness, and interpersonal relationships. Self-development, depression, and anxiety are my specialties. During our initial sessions, we will address current stressors and past trauma and create a sustainable healing plan. Clients see symptom improvement as long as they commit to doing the work. My communication style My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.
