Getting to know Kim Williams

Hi there, I'm Kim! Hi, I'm Kim! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy & counseling for highly-motivated adults in Texas. It is my pleasure to support clients in overcoming obstacles getting in their way of living happier and more satisfying lives. My approach My approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based. I work together with clients to establish a treatment plan that is unique for them while also building on strengths they currently have to help them accomplish their desired outcomes. I most often use CBT, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Solution-Focused therapy, and Humanistic therapy in my work. My focus For many years I have supported clients who are experiencing stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and grief & loss. I'm also knowledgeable and inspired to work with Highly Sensitive People as they learn to navigate life with this very unique trait. My communication style My communication style is non-judgmental and relaxed. I listen actively, I ask questions for clarity, and I encourage my clients to share in a manner that feels most authentic for them. My journey to therapy Early on, it was clear to me that a good quality of life was impossible without good mental and emotional health. With that understanding, I knew I wanted to be part of the solution. Today, I continue to find joy in sharing what I've learned through education, training, and life experiences to help others create a life they can enjoy living. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative process. I work with clients to establish attainable goals and assist them in the development of day-to-day skills and strategies to progress successfully toward their goals. My first session with you In the initial session with me, time is spent getting to know each other. I will ask questions to understand better what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. I will also answer any questions you may have.
