“I feel safe and supported with her, and that she helps me see how I'm making positive changes a little at a time. I have a lot of fear with authority figures that I can't let them know who I really am inside, and with Kimberly, I can let her know and still feel like I'm an OK person and worthy in spite of the differences and difficulties I have that I am seeking to heal and get well from.”

Getting to know Kimberly Bass

Is life scary sometimes? Is it hard for you to have the confidence to tackle the big things in life? Do you sometimes notice a younger part of yourself that needs comfort? I help those of you who suffer from unresolved traumas both big and small. Drawing from my experiences as a mother, grandmother, wife, widow, sister, and daughter, together we can explore the different parts of self and how our roles and relationships affect us. I can guide you to a deeper awareness of how life wounds impact your performance and satisfaction with life. I use a combination of EMDR, mindfulness, ego state therapy, and somatic awareness to help you achieve your goals. Through this process, you may begin to feel a deeper peace that I call soul living—fully embracing who you are and the moment you are in. Together, we can improve the quality of your relationships with others and with yourself. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from San Diego State University, which informs my compassionate and effective approach. Specialties include: Addictions ADHD (inattentive, impulsive, hyperactivity) Attachment issues Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Dissociation Disabilities Mental Health

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am trained in using EMDR for trauma reprocessing. EMDR is a therapeutic approach to trauma processing. It is quicker that traditional talk therapy. I use Ego state therapy to assist with understanding parts of self and how wounded parts affect our current functioning. In session we will focus on somatic experiences and how our body holds our stress and trauma. Each session will have a mindfulness element to assist with grounding, self-soothing and remaining in the present moment. We will explore attachment as it affects relationship issues. A no show fee will be charged for cancelations made with less than 24 hour notice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

This has been an incredibly productive experience so far; I am grateful to have her as my therapist!
Kimberly Bass was a fantastic provider! My profile wont allow me to rebook with her, even after reaching out to the platform with these difficulties.
I feel safe and supported with her, and that she helps me see how I'm making positive changes a little at a time. I have a lot of fear with authority figures that I can't let them know who I really am inside, and with Kimberly, I can let her know and still feel like I'm an OK person and worthy in spite of the differences and difficulties I have that I am seeking to heal and get well from.
I’ve come to this provider to work on issues of trauma and how they have caused pain and difficulty in my life many years later. I thought I would try out Kimberly to help me to get to the root of issues. She has been warm to talk to, and I believe she can help meto go about healing, while being sensitive to my goals and my needs.
Dr. Kimberly Bass is amazing! She is uplifting, caring and warm. She continues to help me recognize my thought patterns, where they originate from, and how I can correct any negativeness. She challenges me to work through emotions versus suppress them. She has also taught me some breathing and safe space techniques for overwhelming times. I highly recommend her!
I received multiple appointment reminders via text which was very helpful for me. Also, she was so amazing and I plan on meeting with her every week from here forward.

Kim is the best therapist I've ever had! In a very short time, she has helped me work through some deeply rooted trauma to find meaningful and lasting transformation.
I am not a newbie to talk therapy, but this is the first time where every session I leave with a greater understanding of myself and my emotions. Instead of the usual crash after a session, I have a sense of empowerment. Because even if it was a difficult conversation, I always have a new tool or viewpoint to approach my life.
