Psychotherapist
OH
Congratulations on taking the first step to starting therapy! I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. I use a client-centered approach to provide an environment that is comfortable, non-judgmental, and empathetic. My approach I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you change negative thoughts and behaviors to improve your mental and emotional health. This approach is hands-on and gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. Based on your needs, I may include other approaches such as mindfulness. Together, we will identify challenges and work to find appropriate and effective supports. My focus Have you been struggling with depression, anxiety, or just life in general? I work with adults who are managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you’re working through trauma or building coping skills, I’ll work with you to create goals that feel achievable and empowering. My communication style I provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment with the goal of having clear, open communication. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began with my own experiences that led me into seeking a therapist. It was after that that I knew I wanted to help other people and that passion continued throughout schooling and now as I work in this field. I have had the opportunity to work with so many people and so many stories that it made me realize how resilient we all are! My goals for you We will work together to achieve your goals. I am a believer that you are in charge, and my role is to listen without judgment and provide useful tools and skills to work through challenging times. My first session with you Our first session would be spent getting to know each other. We'll discuss your background and what brought you into therapy.
