Hi there, I'm Kimberly! My name is Kimberly Hearn, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I work with children, families, teens, and adults using a variety of modalities, including client-centered and trauma-focused practices. I see clients via telehealth, meaning our sessions will happen over the computer in the comfort of your home. Although change is difficult, we will work together to determine areas of focus, set specific goals, and take steps toward the change you want. My approach I use a variety of therapeutic modalities based on the needs of the individual. Some of the evidence-based practices I often utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client-centered, and Solution-focused Therapy. My focus I have worked as a counselor for over 20 years with children, families, teens, and adults. I support children struggling with big emotions and behaviors that affect their daily lives. I also work with teens and adults dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, I assist those experiencing difficulty managing anger, adjusting to life changes, or addressing a specific issue they wish to tackle. My communication style I believe seeking support for challenges is a brave step. Therapy is a place where clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings without judgment, identify areas of need, and learn to overcome obstacles. Therapy is a safe space where I work at your pace and partner with you on your goals. My journey to mental healthcare I enjoy working with people and assisting them on their journey toward health and happiness. I have been blessed with a great deal of support in my life, which has helped me through tough times and joined in celebrating the good times. It is my desire to be that support for others when life is hard and those struggles can't be fought alone.
