Getting to know Kimberly Motley

Have you been thinking about therapy and struggling with where to begin? Sometimes taking the first step is the most difficult one. I can help you take that first step with a warm and encouraging approach to therapy. I hold a Master's in Counseling from the University of West Florida and practice cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) using a compassionate, client-centered philosophy. This approach employs evidence-based techniques and tools to address symptoms of anxiety, depression, and related issues in an accepting, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. Change takes time. My goal is for the people I work with to feel heard, supported, and able to develop skills to use in their lives and relationships. Personal growth leads to living as the most authentic and best version of ourselves. I look forward to helping you grow. Daytime and evening appointments are available.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working together we will identify goals for therapy which will guide our sessions. Generally we will work on clarifying issues, processing events, and creating actionable steps on how to move forward. Often time, we'll discuss coping skills and specific ways to manage thoughts and feelings.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She validates my feelings about my circumstances and is a great listener. I love that she takes notes on things that come to her that she wants me to expound on later, or things that I say I would like to come back to at a later time. I don't feel pressured. I don't feel like she's going by a script or providing cliché advice. She's my third therapist in three years (two different companies), and by far the best fit for me.
Kimberly is fantastic! She is great to work with and I couldn’t ask for a better therapist. She is warm, inviting, intelligent, solution-oriented, etc…highly recommend!
