Hi there, I'm Kimberly! Hi! I'm Kim Neundorfer, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I work with adult clients throughout Georgia via telehealth. My approach My therapeutic approach is, first and foremost, client-centered, as there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. I often work from a family systems perspective, recognizing that none of us live in a vacuum-our families, friends, partners, and colleagues shape who we are. I see people not just as what they show on the outside, but as an ever-growing accumulation of internal and external experiences. My focus The majority of my experience has been with adults (of all ages-18 to 88!) who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, dissociation, and adjustment to life changes. I have worked extensively with neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ adults, and disabled adults, providing affirming care. My communication style In sessions with me, you are free to be yourself. I listen with curiosity and openness so that I can better get to know you! Every client will have different goals-some will come in with a specific checklist, and others with a more vague idea of what they'd like to accomplish-I welcome all forms of goal-setting! A goal does not have to be an endpoint; it can also be a direction or journey we take as we work together. My journey to mental healthcare I became a counselor so that I could use my skills of active listening, empathy, pattern recognition, and advocacy to help others.
