Psychotherapist
1973 Foothill Pkwy, Ste. 110 #2075, Corona, CA
I'm a licensed marriage & family therapist in Corona, CA specializing in Christian counseling & cancer support for adults, kids/teens, couples & families. Some common concerns for my clients include anxiety, depression, stress, fear, hopelessness, and relationship or parenting issues. I also have specialized training in grief & bereavement, medical trauma, and all-stage cancer support. When cancer hits, our faith is EVERYTHING. I'm here to help you stay grounded in Christ...even through the chaos of cancer or the loss of a loved one. Choose from telehealth sessions (all CA residents) or in-person sessions (Orange County, Corona, Norco, or Riverside). It is my joy to help carry the burdens of the clients I help. Galatians 6:2 commands us to "carry each other's burdens," and I'm honored to be invited into your cancer or grief journey. I currently volunteer with two Christian cancer support non-profits, offering cancer support and grief counseling. I have been helping folks through all stages of cancer as well as grief since 2020. I have prior experience as a Biblical counselor at church (2005-2018) and in the Child life field (5 years volunteering at CHOC Children's Hospital). I look forward to hearing from you and to supporting you with Christ-centered counseling services.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm here to listen, provide support & tools, and walk alongside you as we weave Biblical principles, scripture, and faith with evidence-based therapy treatments. Counseling is a place to share your heart and feel connected to someone who cares. I offer a safe space to address your fears, burdens, and emotional pain...and to find HOPE again. Together, we will navigate through these difficult waters. Collaboration: You are the expert of your own life; I respect and honor that. Together, we will explore what is most important to you. This includes your Christian beliefs, personal values, culture/ethnicity, and other important pieces that make you uniquely YOU. Authenticity: I bring my whole self into therapy as a genuine fellow human being who, just like you, is doing my best to journey through life. Through our authentic relationship, you can find comfort in knowing that you're not alone and it's OK to be imperfectly YOU. Acceptance: By experiencing unconditional acceptance in the therapeutic relationship, you can also feel free to be yourself. Acceptance can help you develop self-compassion so that you can thrive. Additionally, as we explore your identity in Christ, you can let go of shame and regret. Healing: Healing occurs when you can safely explore your thoughts & feelings without fear of being judged. The scars you carry are proof of your strength & resilience. I attend to the whole person: mind, body, & spirit. Each part of you deserves to be seen and healed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Intake sessions are 90 minutes (first 2 sessions), and 50 minutes thereafter. Typically, clients see me weekly until they are out of crisis, and then every other week thereafter until they are ready to transition out of counseling (where appropriate).
