Kimberly Weimer, LCSW

Kimberly Weimer, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I'm an LCSW with extensive experience in treating OCD, Anxiety Disorders, and Depression. I believe in meeting clients where they are and partnering with them to achieve their goals. It’s not just my job to "treat the symptoms" but to help you find lasting change and give you the skills to continue growing and maintaining that change long after our time together. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield. Since 2000, I’ve worked in various human services roles. I began as a Social Worker in the community, working with foster and probation youth, and later progressed to private foster care. I spent 12 years working in prison mental health and served as a supervisor of one of the largest mental health programs in the state during the last three years of my prison career. I left that to start my private practice and follow my passion for helping people. I’m grateful for all the experience I gained working in the community, but following my life’s passion was the best decision I ever made! I’m a mom of two amazing grown young men—they are my greatest accomplishment! I meditate daily, am a certified yoga teacher, and love anything in nature.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m holistic in my approach, in that, I believe in treating the whole person not just the symptoms. I want us to have a very good understanding of your situation, what is contributing to the things you want to change and how to make the changes you want. From there we build a plan for treatment (the solution), and give you the skills to do the work in and outside of sessions. I also look at your life holistically, diet, exercise, self-care, behavior, and thinking patterns. Lasting change and growth come from the daily habits and activities that we keep.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
