UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 18 years, but I began my career as a Social Worker in Ohio. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Shawnee State University and my Master's in Counseling from Ohio University. I came from a dysfunctional family and experienced a childhood filled with traumatic events. These experiences also led me to need therapy myself. It changed me in a positive way, so I decided to become a social worker and therapist. Through therapy and education, I learned the skills and techniques to successfully navigate the trials and tribulations of my life. I have worked with individuals of all ages from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I realize that we all need a sounding board to listen to us at some point in our lives.
