Kori Lee, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Kori! My approach to therapy is to meet people where they are and help them build the toolbox they need specific to their own healing journey. I help clients build skills to manage problems by understanding how thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. We'll work together to develop practical strategies to improve your coping skills and overall well-being. I typically work with women who are very accomplished yet struggle to maintain boundaries and often self-neglect. I am very validating and nurturing in my tone with my clients because I understand that most people are doing the best they can with the knowledge they have. I will hold the mirror up gently so that my clients can see a blind spot that may be troubling them in their patterns. I believe the field of therapy chose me a long time ago. I was always the one people sought for information or advice-even in high school when I wrote the "Dear Kori" column for the school newspaper. Healing is my passion because I have seen the indisputable evidence of a happy and joyful life when healing has taken place. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Columbus State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively. Goal-setting is fluid and may often change throughout our sessions, but primarily I ask clients to let me know their goals. If a goal arises that I think may also benefit them, I will mention that as well. In our first session, you can expect a nurturing environment where we build rapport and get to know each other. The focus will be on building trust and setting goals together.
