“It is extremely helpful to have a therapist who understands autism as well as Kris does. I feel like I walked away from even our first session with something to look into about myself. I really look forward to possible solutions for my issues, thank you for listening to me ramble and engaging. Great listener and I wasn't nervous as I thought I'd be.”

Getting to know Kris Winslow

I have specialties in trauma, grief, and loss as my primary focus. To gain this training, I've worked with programs in hospitals, with parole, and on the VA campus, as well as within the LGBTQ+ community and programs focused on BIPOC clients. I usually work within a few areas at a time to ensure I can reach and create the best practice possible with all my potential and current clients. I also really enjoy and am familiar with working with anxiety disorders (PTSD, CPTSD, OCD, GAD), depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, family systems, intergenerational trauma, and-really-whatever you need to process, including life events like breakups or respectful divorces. I work with families, couples/throuples, and individuals. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My session is set up based on the client’s needs. I can speak science, I can speak art, I am direct, and believe in the e healing of laughter. Session can be venting about work, discussing childhood trauma, or anything in between. Whatever you need when we speak. I can also break therapy down into more practical applications by discussing about how to apply what we have discussed each week. Theory is wonderful, but practical applications create change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I appreciate Kris's humor, sensitivity, and solutions. She is a great therapist!
It is extremely helpful to have a therapist who understands autism as well as Kris does. I feel like I walked away from even our first session with something to look into about myself. Kris is a warm, authentic therapist who makes it easy to open up without feeling judged. She listens deeply and creates a safe, relaxed space where I feel truly seen and understood. Her trauma-informed approach and thoughtful insights have helped me realize things about myself I hadn’t before. I look forward to our sessions and find them comforting and illuminating.
Kris is an incredible therapist and is helping me figure out things about myself that I didn’t know without judgement. She makes me feel safe to talk about everything.
She was great, but didn’t really take the feedback I was giving in the kind of approach I needed. I reminded her a few times but it was never done, even right after I reminded her. Other than that she was kind and thoughtful. In the end it just wasn’t a good match.
Kris was quick to make me feel comfortable talking to her about the things I have to deal with. She takes it slow and allows me to express myself in ways i feel comfortable with. I know that I'm in a safe space when I open up about the harsher realities of what my life is like and she understands why I feel the way I do. I appreciate how she validates my circumstances and makes me feel like I'm not in the wrong when it coems to how I've gone about situations.
I find Kris is a very good therapist who is genuine and honest. She will call you out which is necessary and also connect dots you may not be aware of.
I always look forward to my therapy sessions these days. I feel comfortable sharing and never feel like I’ll be judged. She really makes me feel seen and heard and understood and I’m grateful I have her as a sounding board!
