Psychotherapist
2717 Windemere Dr, Valdosta, GA
Hi there, I'm Kristi ! I’m a licensed therapist passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, navigate life transitions, and rediscover a sense of safety and self-worth. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative—I believe healing happens in an environment of trust, compassion, and curiosity. My approach I draw from trauma-informed, attachment-based, and integrative approaches to support each person’s unique path toward growth. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, past trauma, or major life changes, my goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My focus I primarily work with women with a trauma history who suffer from c-PTSD, PTSD, and/or dissociative disorders. My communication style In our sessions, my goal is to create a calm, safe, and collaborative environment where you can speak freely and feel genuinely heard. I communicate with warmth, empathy, and honesty—offering gentle guidance when needed, and space when reflection feels more important than words. My journey to mental healthcare My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about how people heal and find meaning after painful experiences. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how trauma, loss, and life transitions can quietly shape who we become—and how powerful it is when someone feels truly understood for the first time. My goals for you I use a combination of unconditional positive regard, DBT, IFS, and EMDR to resolve root issues, negative cognitions, and instill self-regulation tools to face anything life brings. My first session with you Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of safety and trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process. I’ll also share a bit about how I work—what therapy with me typically looks like, and how we can tailor our sessions.
