Hi there, I'm Kristi! Therapy can be a place to pause, breathe, and reset. My style is down-to-earth and supportive, with a focus on finding solutions that work best for you. It can be scary to take that first step, but I am here when you are ready to start working toward the life that you want to live. My approach I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help identify and shape thoughts and behaviors that are interfering with you living the life that you want to live. This approach will be hands-on and give you the tools you need. Additional interventions or treatment could be brought in based on your unique needs. My focus If you have been running on empty for too long, you are not alone. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or life transitions, sometimes it helps to talk through fears and stressors to find solutions and support to help you move forward in a positive and attainable way. My communication style I value open, non-judgmental communication. I feel that it is important to meet clients where they are and give them empathy, encouragement, and the space to feel comfortable sharing their happy moments and their most difficult struggles. My journey to mental healthcare My journey in counseling began with seeing the resilience of those who have had difficult struggles and overcome them through treatment. I have spent my career working with individuals and families experiencing mental health issues, behavioral issues, parenting concerns, and relationship concerns. My goals for you I see therapy as a partnership. We will work together to identify and create attainable goals. It could be focusing on reducing stress, improving relationships, or a host of other goals that are specific to you. We can adapt plans at any time & new goals can be created. My first session with you We will spend our first session getting to know one another. We'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy.
