Getting to know Avery Perea

Hi, I’m Avery. I am passionate about supporting teens and women as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward greater emotional well-being. I primarily work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and trauma. In my practice, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns while developing healthier ways of coping. I believe meaningful change begins with self-awareness and compassionate self-exploration. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and build more fulfilling lives and relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In session I provide a non-judgmental space for clients. I like to incorporate psycho-education to help you understand your diagnosis, symptoms, and evidence-based treatments. I find this helps to improve your own understanding of your experiences as well as it makes it less scary or confusing. Through compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental space you can leave session feeling confident about our work together. As a client, you can expect to develop skills to cope with everyday stressors, shift negative thought patterns, internal dialogue, and responses that impact your life to improve your overall well-being.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
