My name is Kristin Stefanatz-Rainey. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with eight years of experience in the field. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Regis University. I became a therapist because I am passionate about connecting with others, helping them grow, reach their potential, and live a more satisfying and fulfilling life. I have worked in community mental health and have experience supporting clients from all walks of life. I have provided counseling for clients dealing with grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, anger issues, and stress.
I offer a warm, nonjudgmental approach where clients feel heard and validated. I collaborate with you to tap into your strengths and promote meaningful change. I adapt my approach to meet your unique needs, using a client-centered style often combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Together, we will identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be holding you back and find healthier ways to cope. We can process challenging situations and develop tools to better manage them.
I specialize in working with people who are grieving a loss, navigating life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, sad, or alone. I appreciate when you share your experiences and concerns openly and are motivated for change. I am excited to support you on your life path!
