Getting to know Kristine Asatryan

Hi there, I'm Kristine. My philosophy in life is to live knowing that yesterday is gone, today is what matters, and tomorrow is out of our control. It is important to focus on life and be mindful and aware of ourselves. I use this approach in my practice to help my clients become self-aware and their happiest selves. What I find most intriguing as a mental health professional is how therapy can be so empowering and life-changing when the client believes in and is open to change. I strongly believe in my cultural values alongside the core values of Social Work-respect, kindness, love, strong family values, gentleness, service to humanity, social justice, integrity, competence, human dignity, and worth. The roles I play in life include mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, licensed clinical social worker, and therapist-someone who always keeps a level head and sees a way forward. I pay close attention to how I treat people in their most vulnerable moments; I treat them as I would want to be treated. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, which has deeply informed my practice and commitment to compassionate care. *** Please note that I am only able to schedule intakes on the hour (i.e., 3:00), and cannot accommodate appointments on the half hour (i.e., 3:30). Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve the scheduling platform. ***

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to incorporate problem solving approach to help clients overcome issues that do not allow them to have a fulfilling life. I focus on mindfulness and being aware, learning to focus on the present and becoming their best self. During the time of my experience, I have come across themes with my clients who suffered from any type of abuse and how difficult it is for them to feel safe and understood. I learned to give them time and allow them to speak when they are ready, share what and when they wish to, and feel supported and validated. The key component of my therapeutic alliance offers respectful, supportive, sincere, non-judgmental, and safe environment for my clients. My goal is to make every client feel respected, supported, and understood despite what they are going through and

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
