Kristine Ibrahimi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), who has been working in the field for over twelve years. Kristine graduated from The University of California Santa Barbara with a BA in psychology in 2008, then completed her MA in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University in 2011. She obtained her MFT license in 2016. Kristine believes that therapy can be beneficial to anyone; whether they are going through a life transition, facing a challenge, feeling stuck, or simply would like to better themselves, she believes therapy is a useful tool. She is passionate about working to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for her clients to gain a better undressing of themselves and to grow to their fullest potential. She believes every person is unique, so she uses a person centered approach to work collaboratively with clients to meet their individual needs and goals. She is EMDR certified through EMDRIA (The EMDR International Association), and has extensive experience treating trauma survivors as well as utilizing EMDR to treat various other symptoms and presenting issues. She is also trained in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, as well as Attachment Based Family Therapy. Within clinical and directorial roles, she has worked with women and children impacted by domestic violence, homeless families, individuals recovering from issues related to substance abuse and adolescents in levels of care ranging from private practice to residential treatment.
