Getting to know Kristine West

Welcome! My approach to wellness is founded on compassion for the authentic self and attunement to the body's response to emotional states. For adults, the echoes of childhood abuse, neglect, abandonment, and complicated attachment can create turbulence in our adult bodies, minds, identity, and relationships. I naturally gravitate toward Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experience therapy. IFS allows a person to listen to the multi-dimensional aspects of the self with compassion, while Somatic Experience provides structure and exercises to tone the self's relationship with the body's cellular memory. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, which has deepened my commitment to trauma-informed care. You are a survivor. I would be honored to join forces with you on your journey toward healing.
