My name is La Tonya, a licensed therapist and coach with almost 10 years of experience. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and earned my Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University. I have always enjoyed working with the public and have a passion for guiding and watching others succeed.
I have experience working with a diverse population, ranging from troubled youth, teens, young adults, and adults, focusing on symptoms of depression, anxiety, women’s issues, relationship challenges, anger management, emotional distress, and mood disorders.
My goal is to empower clients to uncover their inner strength and guide them through life’s difficulties.
Allow me to help you begin your journey of healing, discovering your authentic self, and reconstructing your thoughts—thereby changing your actions, behaviors, and responses—reframing your perceptions of self and life, and discovering your value and purpose.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Once clients have made the committed choice to begin their therapeutic progress, the first session will be about building therapeutic rapport between client and therapist. In addition, to specifically identify presenting problems/concerns, and current life challenges, then setting initial goals to begin doing the work toward emotional and mental well-being.
Clients will leave with continued encouragement and motivation after each session to keep thriving toward defining their sense of purpose, coping skills to manage symptoms, and identifying strengths to overcome daily challenges.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
