Getting to know Lacy Dyke

I help individuals and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. Whether you're experiencing a major life transition, grief, divorce, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you'll find a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself without judgment. Together, we'll explore your thoughts and emotions, build healthy coping strategies, strengthen resilience, practice mindfulness, and develop the confidence and skills needed to move forward with greater clarity, balance, and hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Great to meet you, my name is Lacy Dyke, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I know taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. You may be wondering if you'll be understood, whether you'll know what to say, or if things can really get better. Those feelings are completely normal, and you don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely welcomed, heard, and accepted from the very first session. Therapy with me is conversational, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves, so you can expect a compassionate, judgment-free environment where we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. During your first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll learn about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, your strengths, and what you hope to accomplish. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the counseling process and decide whether we're a good fit. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and create a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and personalized to your life. Many clients leave that first appointment feeling lighter, relieved, and hopeful. While therapy is a journey rather than a quick fix, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with new insights or practical tools you can begin using right away. Over time, clients often experience greater confidence, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, increased emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of balance and direction. With 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people during some of life's most challenging and meaningful moments. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, parenting challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you move toward the life you want with compassion, encouragement, and practical guidance.
