Hi there, I'm Laklieshia! Dr. Laklieshia Izzard is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and New Jersey, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Counselor Leader, Mental Health Advocate, Community Leader, and Servant Leader, with more than 20 years of clinical mental health counseling experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Fayetteville State University, a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University, and an EdD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University, Sarasota. Dr. Izzard is also a Professor and Author. My approach Primary CBT, with clinical modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Client-Centered, Brief Solution, Faith Integration, and more as needed. My focus I specialize in working with clients ages 18-65 addressing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, drug recovery, relationship issues, anger issues, trauma, racial trauma, career challenges, women’s and men’s conditions, Black Men’s Mental Health concerns, military trauma, faith-based connection, stress management, self-care challenges, and developing life direction. My journey to mental healthcare I started as a Special Education Teacher for children with Mental Health Conditions and now have 20 years of clinical mental health counseling experience.
