What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect therapy with me to be supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what you're experiencing. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy—we can work together to understand what's happening and determine what you want to change. I am compassionate and supportive, but I will also be honest with you and gently challenge you when I believe it can help you grow. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, so I will adapt our work to your needs, goals, and where you are in the process. Whether you're dealing with a specific mental health concern, struggling in your relationships, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, we'll work together to help you gain clarity, build confidence, develop healthier patterns, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you—your experiences, current challenges, relationships, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I believe building a trusting, comfortable relationship is an important part of creating meaningful change, so our first sessions will focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and identifying the goals that matter most to you. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop an approach that fits your individual needs. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on what you’re experiencing, our work may involve exploring emotions and relationship patterns, processing past experiences, developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, or learning practical skills to manage difficult thoughts and emotions. I incorporate techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Attachment Therapy when appropriate, while adapting our sessions to your needs and progress. I strive to balance compassion and support with honest feedback and gentle challenges that can help you recognize patterns and make meaningful changes. Throughout therapy, we’ll regularly check in on your goals and adjust our approach as needed. My goal is for you to leave therapy with greater insight, stronger coping skills, healthier relationships, and the confidence to navigate challenges more effectively on your own
