Hi there, and welcome! I’m LaTrea, a passionate and down-to-earth therapist based in Atlanta. I believe therapy is a powerful tool for growth, healing, and self-discovery—it’s not just about working through struggles but also about unlocking your potential. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Spelman College in 2014 and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in 2018. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including residential eating disorder treatment, inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a deep understanding of mental health and how to support individuals facing challenges like trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief, aging, and major life transitions. My approach is tailored to each client, blending cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and narrative therapy to help you rewrite your story and take control of your journey. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just looking for a space to process and grow, I’m here to help. Outside of the therapy room, you can find me at a concert, cheering on my favorite sports teams, or traveling to new places.
