Getting to know Laura Flumerfelt

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing since 2009. I am experienced in providing psychotherapy to a diverse population including adults 18-65+, active-duty military and veterans in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, in home, military base, addiction programs and telehealth. I utilize a combination of therapies with a flexible, eclectic practice style customized to individual needs to address many common issues including, depression, anxiety, anger, stress management, ADHD, trauma-related, military-related, marital issues, family conflict, life transitions as well as less common problems such as OCD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I hold certifications in trauma-focused therapies and providing support for Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have worked extensively with military and veterans and I am the spouse of a disabled veteran. I also offer Christian counseling when requested. The initial visit includes a thorough intake assessment of individual needs, identified problems and collaborative development of therapy goals identified by the client. I am flexible in my hours of availability as I offer morning, afternoon and evening appointments and occasionally weekends.
