Hi there, I'm Laura! I love being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach is all about creating a welcoming and judgment-free space where we can work together at your pace. I work with adults and older teens struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and dissociative disorders. I earned my Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support my clients effectively. My approach I work with each client differently, adjusting my approach depending on their unique needs. I offer a variety of theoretical approaches including, but not limited to, EMDR, Ego State Therapy, CBT, and Solution Focused Therapy to help my clients work through trauma, depression, anxiety, and other stressors keeping them from feeling their best selves. My focus I enjoy working with adults and older teens. I am most comfortable treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and dissociative disorders. My communication style I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can explore their journey. Drawing on their expertise of their own lives, I offer thoughtful attention and practical strategies to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. My goals for you I will help you explore what it looks like to feel your best self: what would you like to feel less or more of? What would you like to do less or more of? We will then collaborate on what clinical approaches suit you best. My first session with you I'll be listening for what you want to get out of therapy and getting a sense of your values and any worries about starting this journey. I'll answer any questions you may have and share my background and approach. I will also be curious about your interests and background.
