Laura Hernandez, LCSW

Laura Hernandez, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I’m a Salvadoran-Korean licensed therapist and the first-born daughter of immigrants. I own a psychotherapy practice specializing in working with BIPOC professionals and students who feel stuck—whether in their careers, relationships, or unhelpful patterns. My work is grounded in trauma research, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery (E-IMR), an evidence-based approach for addiction treatment. Recognizing that traditional therapy alone can be time-consuming, I also offer Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) to facilitate psychological transformation. By promoting rapid synaptic growth, KAP can achieve in a few sessions what might otherwise take years, helping clients overcome longstanding challenges and achieve meaningful progress.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
