Getting to know Laura Kang

My name is Laura Kang, LMFT, and I have been working with teens, women, and couples for over 17 years. I love helping people adjust to life transitions, relationship issues, and overall emotional dysregulation caused by stress and anxiety. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University. My approach is nonjudgmental, empathic, and collaborative. I enjoy working with clients on what they need, helping them set achievable goals, giving them space to process, and providing a safe place to explore their emotions. At the same time, I offer practical coping strategies for managing challenging emotions and circumstances. I typically work with teens, women, and men in their 20s to 40s who struggle with anxiety and relationship issues. I also love working with couples to help them find connection and healing from past wounds in their relationship. I hope my clients feel comfortable in session, in a safe and confidential environment. I aim to be down to earth and compassionate, working alongside you. Goals are set by the client, but we collaborate on them together in session.
