Getting to know Laura M. Stevens

Welcome! I'm Laura Stevens. Are you feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Are your thoughts running constantly, leaving you unable to catch a break? Do you feel alone or notice your relationships are struggling? I help people identify how they're feeling physically and emotionally by meeting them where they are, offering safety, support, and encouragement so that together we can create new and renewed ways of living. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace University, which equip me to provide compassionate and effective care tailored to your unique journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Every session is your space and time to feel safe and heard. It is my goal to help you feel comfortable and supported to share. Our first session is going to be the beginning, where you can share what's been going on for you, and how you feel about it. It will be about you leaning in to share with me so that we can identify specific ways counseling can help you. Once we figure out where you'd like to start your counseling journey, then following sessions will make progress toward those goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
