“Laura is intelligent, warm and authentic. She listens and notes what I say and highlights strengths and areas of growth. For me a good therapist helps me set goals and reminds me of steps to achieve my goals. She reminds me how to communicate in a way that is non threatening and will allow my partner to listen to me without becoming defensive. I value Laura’s skills because there are a lot of other therapists that struggle to help set goals and boundaries for their clients.”

Getting to know Laura Mason

Hi there, I'm Laura. Are you looking for a place to reflect and regroup in this ever-changing world? Do you often feel overwhelmed with responsibility, shame, or guilt that you aren't doing enough? Are you aiming to bring more peace and understanding into your life? I help adults address the difficulties and complexities of life by drawing from your own inherent strengths to integrate practical and manageable strategies that support coping and foster personal healing and growth. I believe in an individualized approach to therapy, utilizing a variety of modalities to address issues as a direct impact on the whole system—mind, body, and spirit. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. Taking the step toward therapy is incredibly brave, and I warmly invite you to reach out to learn more. In our sessions together, I will listen with compassion and help you work through what you are facing—you don’t have to do everything on your own. I look forward to meeting with you soon!

What should a new client know about working with you?

At your first session, you can anticipate that we will discuss any particular reasons for seeking therapy, discussion of short and long-term goals, and we will discuss the general ins and outs of policies and procedures so you are fully informed and can feel comfortable leaning into therapy. Over time, as your individual experiences shape our work together, we will continue to reflect on progress and points of growth as well as keep an open dialogue about our sessions and how you feel things are going.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
