Getting to know Laura Ribbing
I’m a generalist clinician with a passion for helping people explore and shift patterns that may no longer be serving them. I enjoy working with individuals navigating OCD, anxiety, grief, loss, bereavement, and life transitions—including college students and young adults adjusting to new environments and families adapting to changing dynamics. I support clients in strengthening communication, building confidence, and cultivating healthier relationships.
I aim to create a calm space where clients feel safe to be real, feel supported, learn new coping skills, and discover renewed hope. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, and I’m committed to providing competent, evidence-informed care that centers your personal goals for therapy. We may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other integrative strategies to challenge unhelpful thoughts, deepen self-reflection, and promote meaningful change. Sometimes, the simple act of sharing your story can be profoundly healing.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan University, where I was trained to effectively support individuals through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. I have over 20 years of experience in the field and look forward to partnering with you.
