Getting to know Laura Soderholm

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to individuals seeking a path to mental well-being and empowerment. With a Master's in Social Work from Colorado State University and 15 years of dedicated experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida, my primary focus has been on empowering individuals with effective coping strategies through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

What should a new client know about working with you?

As with any relationship, it is essential that you feel comfortable with your therapist. During our initial visit, we will discuss your concerns and your main goals of therapy as well as ensure that we both are comfortable moving forward in a therapeutic relationship. You can expect to be provided with honest, compassionate, and nonjudgmental care. We will create a treatment plan together to identify your main treatment goals and monitor our progress during each session. Research has shown better outcomes when an individual puts into practice techniques that they learn during each session. I will provide written instructions and or videos that you can review between sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
