What should a new client know about working with you?
I have a comprehensive background in working with individuals from ages five through young adulthood. My personalized approach allows a great opportunity for you to reach your specific goals and addresses your individualism through various evidence-based techniques. As a school counselor in a pre-k through 8th grade school district, I have assisted in helping many individuals work through issues such as school avoidance, peer conflicts, low self-esteem, executive functioning skills, suicidal ideations, family conflict, and have gained a solid foundation in 504 Plans, Intervention and Referral Services, Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Policy, and other school support systems.
Helping individuals is the basis of who I am and I thank you for trusting me to support you and allowing me the opportunity to assist you in making a positive difference in your life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
As we begin the therapeutic process, I will look to understand how I can best support you to achieve your personal goals by gathering information during an initial intake session. It is important you find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, so I will look for us to build rapport and will take your lead in helping guide your therapeutic journey. I have an eclectic approach to therapy and understand that the biggest success is when you feel confident and have the tools to live your best life filled with joy and happiness.
