Hi there, I'm Lauren! Hello, my name is Lauren Hoffman. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, CA. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from Boise State University. I work with teens and adults specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress management. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help my clients make progress with the reasons they have turned to therapy for support. My approach I believe connecting with others takes authenticity and genuineness. I meet with my clients offering these two qualities to help them feel supported and understood. My approach is warm and soft, and as rapport is built with my clients, there is no reason to feel ashamed in therapy. My focus I find that I connect best with teens and adults who may be dealing with life events causing anxiety, depression, or trauma. I work with my clients to navigate these life transitions, build skills, and process their emotions in a safe environment. My communication style My communication style is warm and personable. Clients often feel heard and safe as they become vulnerable and open with me. I take pride in being a clinician who can create a safe space for my clients. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist started with my passion for supporting others. I fell in love with the mind and how powerful it can be over our bodies-whether it is anxiety telling us something is wrong, trauma showing we are still impacted by an experience, or depression signaling that we are hurt and need support. Having been a client in therapy myself, I understand the client experience and what is needed in the therapeutic relationship. What fuels my passion for this work is seeing my clients succeed because they were vulnerable from the beginning.
