My name is Lauren Hunt, and I am an LCSW with 16 years of experience in the field. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. My biggest desire is to meet people where they are and help them on the path to becoming better versions of themselves. My clients would describe me as direct. My approach I am trained in multiple treatment modalities that I draw from to create an individualized approach for each client. These modalities include IRT, EMDR, CPT, PE, and MI. My focus While I have experience treating a wide variety of patients, I specialize in trauma and addictions, stemming from over 10 years of work with the military population. My communication style Clients often describe me as direct. I want them to feel comfortable in their sessions and strive to create an environment where they feel free to disclose anything. My journey to mental healthcare In college, I discovered a passion for better understanding people and what makes each person unique. I believe life is a journey, and if we don't continue to grow, we begin to die. My goals for you I fully believe goal setting is essential to gauge where a person was and where they want to be. I regularly check in with my clients to ensure we remain on the same path. My first session with you I want new clients to feel open and comfortable about whatever they may be dealing with. Most importantly, I want them to leave their first session with a sense of hope.
