My name is Lauren Kirk Murry, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) providing telehealth services in California. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University, San Diego Campus, and a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Bakersfield. I work with individuals and families from a collaborative humanistic perspective, specializing in anxiety, depression, substance use/addiction, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ matters, challenging life transitions, relationship concerns, pre/postnatal support, and trauma. We may use person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, feminist therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, play and art therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to develop strategies and skills, be present with challenging emotions, and access your inner strength and wisdom for healing and growth.
My expertise includes working with adults of all ages and families. I specialize in helping individuals resolve anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, relationship stressors, and neurodivergence concerns such as ADHD, ADD, and autism. I am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and provide support for substance use and addiction issues. As a mother, I also offer compassionate guidance for pre/postpartum challenges.
