Getting to know Lauren Vicari

I’m a trauma-informed therapist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where children, adolescents, and adults feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. I work with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday stressors, using a collaborative approach that fosters self-awareness, emotional growth, and resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also encourage creative and individualized forms of expression, including art, storytelling, mindfulness and anxiety-reduction techniques, talk therapy, and pet therapy when appropriate. With experience across inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings and supporting individuals across the lifespan, I bring both professionalism and warmth to my work. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental environment where clients can recognize their strengths, build effective coping skills, and move toward greater confidence, balance, and well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you are ready to get started, schedule an initial assessment visit (intake) through Zocdoc. After you book an appointment, a care coordinator will reach out to review your method of payment and/or insurance number and answer any initial questions you may have before our first visit.
