Getting to know Laurette Lipman

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from Oakland University, passionate about guiding my clients through their personal journey toward healing and growth, ultimately helping them find their own happiness and inner peace. My approach I understand that life can be challenging, and seeking help can feel difficult. Many clients come to me nervous or hesitant to open up, but often notice feeling better even after just one session. I use a client-centered approach tailored to what works best for you. I am comfortable using CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused techniques and modalities. My focus I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma. I have several years of experience supporting individuals with substance use disorders and women managing co-occurring disorders. I am especially passionate about working with women on issues such as self-esteem, infertility, miscarriage, and postpartum depression. My communication style I strive to make sure you feel comfortable and know that you have someone who truly cares and understands what you are going through. You don't have to face it alone-I am here to help. I believe it's important to find a provider you like, who is accessible and easy to reach when you need support. Together, we can work toward a happier, healthier you. My journey to therapy I have always wanted to work with people and help others. I began my career in social work, supporting families in the welfare system, individuals with developmental disorders, and their mental health needs. My passion lies in helping people feel better about themselves and their lives. My goals for you I am not here to tell you what to do or give advice. Instead, I walk alongside you through life's ups and downs, helping you see new perspectives and move forward when you feel stuck.
